Crew Chief Operations Summary

Linac
  • LRF5 driver fuse replacement.
Booster
  • Chopper issue yesterday 50 ohm resistor replaced. Otherwise running well. Need 30 min DT for LLRF code reload.
Booster Neutrino
  • Nothing to report.
BNB Experiments
  • Running well.
Main Injector & Recycler
  • Looks like after about a week's time vacuum issue returns. Three options: 1) Run as we are. 2) RGA scan & turbo pump to remove Argon. 3) Go in and leak check. (Suggesting option #2.)
NuMI
  • Discussed RAD trip as related to an RF blowup. Mentioned 'odor issue' that was traced to the fire suppression system with water pressure spikes releasing water on floor.
NuMI Experiments
  • Running OK.
Muon Rings
  • Lens PS successfully pulsed at full current yesterday. Today switching from dummy load to actual lens. In the vault all day today. Target SEM installation. EE support needs time to get target station PS's ready for operation. Would like to run secondary beam over the weekend. Will run 8 Gev beam when available. Work on Delivery ring shunts & PS's today. Investigating into extraction C-mag today.
SY120
  • Running well. Thanks to Rad techs for M03 uninstall.
SY120 Experiments
  • Mentioned M03 uninstall. Seaquest made access yesterday. Lariet Argon fill. Mtest exp install today, ORC ~ 1300 today.
ES&H
  • Back to investigating MI-12 air anomaly. Requesting reading from ops for 2 days @ every 4 hours.
EE Support
  • (Later) Will work on V118 today during MI downtime.
Mechanical
  • IP836 off Booste rf22 IP.
Fluids
  • Making up water in Linac & MS2.

  • Backflush for 4 hours. (Minos) F2 camer in ~ 20' Fishtape to put a 'sond' at clog. RF F0 pond pump decommissing begin. MINOS chiller #2 circuit work.

  • MI-52 vacuum: RGA scan and turbo pump down recommended for operation to make it to Monday.
