Crew Chief Operations Summary

  • Shutdown day, accesses + power outage. (good weekend)
Linac
  • Good weekend. Water pumps cycled for confirmation. Filaments off until this evening. (after second power outage) Linac in stand by.
Booster
  • Well over the weekend. Friday BRF6 tripped utility yard breaker. Left BRF6 off. Lost BRF11 then turned on BRF6. Still a breaker issue with BRF. BRF17 pulled out due to buss bar work. BRF6 & 11 investigation today.
Booster Neutrino
  • Running well.
BNB Experiments
  • Running well. In standby until after 2nd power outage.
Main Injector & Recycler
  • Good weekend. 520 area vacuum investigation. My change an ion pump.
NuMI
  • Power glitch on Saturday evening.
NuMI Experiments
  • In standby mode until 2nd power outage. NOVA is up enough to check fire protection system.
Muon Rings
  • Successfully send beam to target and secondary beam down M2, M3 & into Delivery ring. Target rotation & motion control not working. PS testing in M5 line. May remove critical device locks tomorrow if ready. Shielding block installation. BV900 stuck. BBP tracking issue, suggested it is a toroid problem.
SY120
  • Nothing to report.
SY120 Experiments
  • Mtest running well, no new experiments his week. Lariet will take cosmics during the day. Seaquest installing hotoscopes. SQ has a broken wire in chamber. Will pull today.
ES&H
  • MI-12 now OK.
EE Support
  • R:LAM52 over temp investigation.
Mechanical
  • Techs working on access jobs.
Fluids
  • Nothing to report.
RF
  • Booster station #21 buss bar installation. BRF#17 off while installing buss bar. BRF#11 is a bias supply issue. Should come up with full complement of RF excepting BRf#17.
MTA
  • Nothing to report.
Controls
  • Recovering from power outage, ready to repeat this afternoon.

  • Begin accelerator startup after second power outage and cooling recovery.
