Linac

  • KRF5 driver PS was replaced yesterday afternoon. Smooth running otherwise.
Booster
  • Working on modifications to the cogging module code to accommodate Laser Notcher operation. Another brief interruption in beam will occur this morning as the code is tested again.
Booster Neutrino
  • Running well.
BNB Experiments
  • Running well.
Main Injector & Recycler
  • Running well. Efficiencies are at ~95%. Averaging about 650KW.
  • LCW supply temperature regulation is nearing the limit as warmer weather occurs. This may necessitate a reduction in duty cycle at some point.
NuMI
  • Turned off the vinegar injection yesterday to attempt to mitigate the muck problem.
NuMI Experiments
  • Experiments are running well.
  • The plan to pull one of the sump pumps on Monday had to be delayed due to elevator problems. This work has resumed today.
Muon Rings
  • Installation of the new dipole is proceeding.
  • The installation of the dump module is encountering some sort of clearance issue that is currently being investigated.
Muon Experiments
  • Offline analysis has confirmed storage of muons and protons in the ring.
SY120
  • SeaQuest is off today until 5PM.
  • Running well otherwise.
SY120 Experiments
  • LAriat will be ready for beam tomorrow.
  • Mtest studies are going well. Next changeover is next week.
RF
  • Running well.
FESS
  • Pulling a Minos sump pump today.
  • Investigating the possibility of installing a skid at the sump to clean out the muck. Also plan to chlorinate the sump pit.
  • Inspecting the softeners at CUB today.
Power pole inspection in the village is in progress.MI62 sprayer problem repairs are in the planning stage.Miscellaneous
  • MI would like to do a study of injection timing modifications in preparation for G-2 operation. This will interrupt beam to users (except BNB) for a few hours.
  • Currently plan to start this at 1300 hours today.
