Linac

  • Running well.
Booster
  • Running well.
  • Continuing to tune for higher intensity.
  • Looking for 2-4 hour period for studies.
  • Did Laser Notcher / cogging studies.
Booster Neutrino
  • Did target scans yesterday. Running well.
BNB Experiments
  • Running well.
Main Injector & Recycler
  • Running well.
  • HP608 readback problems; experts investigating.
  • MI TBT study yesterday.
  • Want to do a multiwire scan today to optimize the position of NuMi beam wrt the extraction lambertson septum.
  • RR KPS3 was repaired on Monday
NuMI
  • Still losing 100 gallons/day of lcw.
  • Plan to do a target scan this morning.
NuMI Experiments
  • Running well.
Muon Rings
  • Ran beam to experiment the last two days.
  • MC1 is on open access today.
  • Accessing delivery ring today.
  • Plan to do AP0 chipmunk studies.
Muon Experiments
  • OPen access today.
  • Isolating a vacuum leak. Once that is located, the repair will take ~48 hours.
  • MC1 is now a controlled area and GERT is required for access.
SY120
  • Running well.
SY120 Experiments
  • SeaQuest is running well.
  • Mtest is running well.
  • LAriat hopes to be up by Friday and requesting beam by Saturday.
EE Support
  • MI30L VCB has opened by itself 4 times the past week. Would like to try exchanging trip circuitry with another VCB to diagnose. Est 2 hours.
  • Would like to do a regulation study with a new transductor in MI60N. 3-4 hours.
Mechanical
  • Made up 2" of water in LRF5 skid.
  • Made up water in MI62 lcw system and will continue as needed. Ready to make repairs on this leak when the opportunity arises. (4 hours for quick fix, 8 hours for real fix)
RF
  • Running well.
MTA
  • Removing the cavity from the solenoid today.
Instrumentation
  • BLMs in MI10 have a soft ground fault. Need ~ 1.5 hours in the tunnel to diagnose.
  • RR and MI bpms are having some intermittant problems, possibly timing related.
FESS
  • Filling MI ponds.
  • Need access to enclosure C emergency exit to replace exhaust fan.
  • Continuing cleanup of Minos muck issues at CUB.
  • Doing PM on MI pond pumps.
Miscellaneous
  • We have tentative plans for a 2-3 hour period of no beam for a few Linac jobs on Tuesday of next week. Other _upstairs_ jobs thatcan be done in this time interval will be considered
There is a new email list: AD_OPCOS_NOTIFICATION.fnal.gov which can be subscribed to by machine coordinators and other interested parties. This will be used for communicating schedule changes to machine departments and users on days with no 0900 meetings or for other short notice schedule changes.
