Mon-Thurs Accelerator Scheduling Meeting
9 AM Meeting (26 Jun 2017)

Linac

  • Ran well over the weekend. Will investigate the waveguide pressure trips during tomorrow's downtime and will also replace the 4616 on LRF2.
Booster
  • BRF9 modulator was replaced Friday morning.
  • Friday afternoon the new cogging module was successfully implemented which allows synchronizing the laser notch, the Booster notch, and cogging to MI.
  • Request to switch to the new cogging module this morning and will hopefully run with it continuously.
  • Ran well over the weekend. There is a BLM HV problem in period 6 that will be investigated tomorrow.
Booster Neutrino
  • Running well.
  • Will do airflow tests during tomorrow's downtime.
BNB Experiments
  • Running well.
Main Injector & Recycler
  • MI10 BLM code was restored on Friday.
  • MI30 VCB tripped over the weekend.
NuMI
  • Neutralization tank evaporators tripped over the weekend and were reset this morning.
  • Plan to patch the LCW leak tomorrow.
  • Running well otherwise.
  • Plan to do a special run on Wednesday.
NuMI Experiments
  • Replaced a PS in MINOS on Sunday. Running well otherwise.
Muon Rings
  • Worked on the delivery ring orbit on Friday.
  • Ran 3.1GeV to MC1 over the weekend.
  • Had problems with PRAC41 power supply controller over the weekend.
  • Investigating target vertical position stability issues.
  • Plan today to circulate at 3.1GeV and look at turn by turn losses.
Muon Experiments
  • Taking data.
SY120
  • Ran well.
SY120 Experiments
  • LArIAT is up and running.
  • SeaQuest is running.
  • Mtest experiments are taking data.
EE Support
  • Will be doing MI regulation studies after tomorrow's access.
  • Will also investigate MI30 VCB trips.
Mechanical
  • Made up water to LRF1, 3, and 5 skids.
  • Keeping up with the MI62 water leak. Plan to effect repairs to that tomorrow.
RF
  • Replaced BRF9 modulator Friday.
  • Changed SS driver amp #4 on Saturday.
MTA
  • Cavity testing continues.
Controls
  • Meson crate 37 controller tied up the link overnight. Controller was changed out.
  • Set up a gated extraction sync to SBN Friday.
FESS
  • Completed sitewide domestic water flush this weekend.
  • CUB chiller water pump seal is leaking and will be repaired this week.
  • Plan to look at some exhaust fans in switchyeard tomorrow.
Miscellaneous
  • Tomorrow (Tuesday) we are having a short maintenance period. Beam will go off at 0600 and keys will be ready by 0700.
  • Areas accessed are Booster, MI, SY, Xfer hall, and NuMi tunnel. Work is expected to take all morning. Note that there are a few hours of MI regulation studies that will take place as soon as MI is back up. Beam to users should be available by the end of day shift. Stay tuned for updates.
