NOTE: This tutorial will be very like the one at the last collaboration meeting with additional time for each session and a new real-world example demo at the end.

This DUNE Software & Computing tutorial will be directed at beginning DUNE, LArSoft and Fermilab computing users, this tutorial will focus on jump starting individuals so they can begin to work with Far Detector simulations and ProtoDUNE TPC simulation and reconstruction.

===>  Prerequisites that need to be completed before the tutorial can be found below. Please start these as soon as possible as some (like getting Fermilab accounts, can take a few days).

Subjects covered will include -
  • Introduction to interactive computing at Fermilab
  • Using the LarSoft framework and DUNE analysis software
  • Running simulations at larger scales (on the grid)
  • Storing and retrieving DUNE data/simulation
  • Analyzing and Visualizing your data
  • Booking and Looking at histograms in DUNE
Instructions are available for the following prerequisites -
  1. Get compter accounts at Fermilab
  2. Successfully log on to a DUNE interactive node
  3. Read the Getting Started and Overview material
  4. Work through a few exercises to insure you have access to the required resources
