Description
Efforts to both bring CM-1 into operation and test gun windows and gun are on parallel paths and looming. Coordinate efforts, achieve success in both areas. These weekly meetings will bring subsytem principals together to ensure coordinated work.
Introduction: Efforts to both bring CM-1 into operation and test gun windows and gun are on parallel paths and looming. Coordinate efforts, achieve success in both areas. Schedule for CM-1 • Vacuum work – complete • Warm coupler conditioning – March • Cooldown – May • Schedule for Gun • Window conditioning – April • Gun water system – June • Common needs/concerns • 5 MW RF system o High Voltage o Klystron o RF distribution • Controls • Equipment protection • Personnel safety • Bureaucracy • Run Plan Status/Schedule/Who • Personnel safety Worel & Zifko o How is CC2 cave/CM-1 to be orientated for warm coupler conditioning? Need a block diagram of RF distribution. • High Voltage – Wolff & Howie, et al o A hipot and other pre-commissioning work was completed before Christmas. Dan to begin modulator commissioning the week of 8 March and continue until NML construction stops him. Expect 2 weeks to completion. Ready for Klystron and Pulsed Transformer. • Klystron & RF distribution – Reid o Block diagram of layout needs to be reviewed and updated. McDowell needs guidance on inputs to PLC. LOTO and other procedures needed. Status of waveguide and other distribution parts. Agreed to use synthesizer for early commissioning – procured? • Controls – Kucera, Nicklaus, Lackey, Zuchnik o Mike needs to supply separate timing for CM-1. Modulator will have its own front end. Sharon will work on GUI for gun window tests per A0 window test. Dennis will provide GUI for coupler conditioning based on work at A0, HTS, NML. The conditioning algorithm will be different at low power. Database gurus are Jerry Firebaugh – vacuum, Mike – RF, Kevin Martin. • Cables pulls and termination – Carlson o Kermit needs lists of cables. Review of patch panel locations with Elvin. • Equipment protection – Prieto o Protection crate for window tests has been moved from A0 to NML. PLC crate still needs to be moved. Signals from the Modulator need to be clarified and provided as well as inputs for window tests. Yuriy Pischalnikov needs to be in the loop for CM-1 signals – he will be invited to the next meeting. • LLRF o need update from Brian and Julien • Bureaucracy – M. Andrews, Elvin, et al o A list of necessary documents has been created, need to complete, list includes: LOTO, Commissioning plan, Overall plan, Hazards assessment, shielding. Need to review what is complete and compare against docs for similar installations.
