Improved aluminum refining techniques now provide high-quality, cost-effective high-purity aluminum samples. This talk will discuss the ultimate limitations for high Q0 operation of SRF cavities, including theoretical predictions and experimental measurements. Various SRF materials are considered and realistic expectations for maximum magnetic fields on the walls of the cavity are presented.
