The National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA) is exploring a potential partnership with the Open Science Grid (OSG). We wish to request a BOF or workshop at the upcoming OSG consortium meeting for an interactive discussion among OSG stakeholders and communities who would be interested in this partnership. Through this discussion, we wish to understand how NCSA and OSG can leverage the capabilities of each other and interoperate their Grid infrastructures to provide access to their complementary resources. The needs from OSG communities for the support of running tightly-coupled parallel applications such as those based on MPI may be a specific discussion topic. We would be interested to see how the partnership may help address such needs. Doru Marcusiu (NCSA)
