Hi Ruth, "ESnet continues to be strongly committed to the goals and objectives of the Open Science Grid. Lauren Rotman, ESnet's Group Lead for Science Engagement, has taken over as chair of The Science Node (previously iSGTW), and will be instrumental in communicating the value of OSG to broader audiences. ESnet's vision ('discovery unconstrained by geography') and its strategic focus areas are highly compatible with OSG initiatives and interests. More specifically, ESnet's investments in improving perfSONAR software and broadening its deployment; championing network architectures for data-intensive science and building a team of science engagement specialists focused on improving Lab and university workflows are in direct alignment with OSG. One note: ESnet Director Gregory Bell is stepping down from the OSG Council at this time, in order to balance his time between ESnet duties and entrepreneurial commitments. ESnet's partnership with OSG will continue without alternation in the ways described above, however." - Greg -- Gregory Bell, Ph.D. Director, Energy Sciences Network (ESnet) Director, Scientific Networking Division Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory
