Emittance is an important metric in beamline physics that helps us to predict and analyze the beam's behavior and properties. Using the MuCool Test Area beamline, we are able to diagnose this parameter with the use of multiwire profile monitors. The emittance is typically defined as the area of the elliptic envelope of particles in phase space; however it is suspected that when subjected to nonlinearities, this shape is no longer elliptical. This analysis aimed to investigate this resulting shape as well as explore methodologies for doing so and determine limitations of certain models.
