Hi guys, Here's the status of SY and NM beam. Remember I'll be starting tomorrow for a week. Beam to SY dump: Signoffs complete, ready for beam when MI is ready. Estimate is that they'll start spilling Friday morning, unless they're unable to establish a stable 120 GeV orbit after tomorrow's quad moves. Beam to SeaQuest: Signoffs complete. Cryogenic targets are not ready, so a partial ORC is in progress to allow SeaQuest to run with the (liquid) Hydrogen and Deuterium target flasks empty. Gary Lauten is going to lock off valves that would allow them to try and flow any H2 or D2, then he'll take his locks off of S:V100 once the partial ORC is complete. We'll have an operating note that limits us to 5E11 per pulse on NM3SEM and requires a 12-hour cooloff and Rad-tech coverage when the experimenters want to go back into the target cave. Before running beam to SeaQuest, we should just call them @ x5708 to double-check that they're ready. I know you already know most/all of this, but I wanted to get all my thoughts in writing before I abandon you guys. I'll be reachable by email and phone (630) 935-3990 at all hours except Sunday afternoon/evening. Thanks, Adam
