DUNE Project Management Meeting 6/5/2017 ----------------------------------------- Zoom: 534-572-111# dune-pm Present: Flavio, Dario, Ami, Jolie, Eric, Steve, Ed, Mark, Christos, Gina, Takuya, Jim, Penka Schedule/Milestone Status (Penka) May status is complete. Reports will be generated later today. End of installation has not moved. Dual phase schedule was updated last week. ProtoDUNE-SP Construction: (Gina) APA is awaiting shipping box and remade CR boards - niether will wait for the other. First batch of several hundred FE and ADC ASICs appear good - a lot of testing to be done. Photon is in good shape for delivery to CERN for APA#1. Good progress on DSS (Dan, Vic), with parts ordered. Ash River assembly procedures for ProtoDUNE will be sent to PSL for review soon. Second phase HV test at 35-ton getting ready. CPA/FC, APA and DSS analyses for CERN HSE approval being finalized. ProtoDUNE-SP Onsite: (Flavio) On-the-ground assessment is that cryostat completion and leak check will be completed by mid-July. Clean room walls have been installed. Roberto and Christos to meet with BobP on APA handling at CERN today. CE installation still on-track for 2nd half of July. August-September for testing and installation in cryostat in October. Gina noted that installation of DSS in mid-July (with scaffolding still in place) may be reasonable. Currently cleaning oc cryostat on July 21, but maybe could shift to end of July. APA unpacking, Photon installation and CE installation procedures will be drafted and reviewed by Gina. IMPACT will need to be submitted through EDH at CERN. Dual-phase: (Dario) 3x1x1 cryostat with LAr continues to be studied for heat leaks. Drilling in out mebrane revealed that some installation panels have deformed and allow for convective air flow. Temperature at -100 C is too low for expandable foam use to fill gaps. Parical evacuation of this gap (for 6 hours) has dropped heat input by a couple of kW. Study is underway of this could become a longer term solution. 6x6x6 have placed FRP FC orders and expect parts for CRP and clean room next week, so that CRP assembly may start. FD Report: (Jim) Note drafted on LAr monitoring - how many ports to measure LAr flow? mini-workshop on calibrations in discussion for next 1-2 months. Cryostat/detector interface meetings to start this week. SP Consortia meetings starting this week. ND Report: (Mark) ND Workshop this Friday-Saturday at FNAL. Agenda posted. https://indico.fnal.gov/conferenceDisplay.py?confId=14029 LBNF has been asked for cost estimates for several variants on near site civil. Other: Reviews: PRR at ANL end of June. Report from DP Field Cage being finalized. Reports from Photon and top/bottom field cages finalized. Some responses already. LBNC: Agenda for June meeting has been circulated. Dual Phase and SP-DAQ will reach out to LBNC subcommittees. Others have already had discussions. Need initial responses to recommendations from March (you know who you are). Next meeting is 12 June, 8am CDT Meeting ended at 8:48 CDT
