Description
Abstract: Micro Pattern Gaseous Detectors (MPGD), invented in the late years of the 20th century to meet the challenges of experiments in high energy physics, have been adopted by multiple particle experiments at CERN and in other laboratories. Their usage is becoming popular in various scientific fields and other applications. The RD51 collaboration at CERN is dedicated to the technological development of MPGDs, and their dissemination. The seminar will present the status and perspectives of MPGDs with focus on the most recent achievements with short description of the RD51 collaboration and its activities.
