OSG Blueprint Meeting - Post-Globus

Introduction

The formation of the Grid Community Forum (https://gridcf.org) has provided OSG and its stakeholders with a medium-term plan for the support of the Globus Toolkit, allowing the OSG to start the long-term planning process for replacing Globus. This Blueprint is meant to discuss how OSG could replace the two most significant pieces of functionality provided by the Globus Toolkit:

• The GSI authentication and authorization framework.
• The GridFTP-based third-party-copy. 

Logistics

Location: Big Ten Conference Center, 5440 Park Place, Rosemont, IL 60018

Upon arrival, check in at the security/front desk for a name tag and the meeting room number.

Hotels: There are several hotels within walking distance; the Aloft Chicago O'Hare is immediately across the street and provides discounted parking.

Parking: In a very large garage (MB Financial Park Garage) that serves all the area businesses and hotels.  Bring your parking ticket to the security/front desk of the BTCC to have it validated for a discounted $7.50 daily parking rate; the full parking rate is $15.00 per day.
