AD Weekly Friday - 2018 Scheduling Meeting/Weekly Summary (16 Mar 2018)
Crew Chief→ See slides
Operations Coordinator→ See slides
Linac→ See slides
Booster→ See slides. May need to workout detailed schedule for next week's shutdown/study period. More info to follow.
Main Injector & Recycler→ See slides. Will remove 52 kicker next week. Beam scrubbing necessary before returning to high intensity. *-Gev line ion pump cabiling to be scheduled given appropriate manpower next Wednesday. More info to follow.
NuMI→ Running well.
NuMI Experiments→ Running well.
Booster Neutrino→ Running well.
BNB Experiments→ Running well.
Muon Rings→ Optics studies today. Tuneup for weekend later today. Possible AP0 vault access next week.
Muon Experiments→ Opsco missed report.
SY120, Neutrino Muon, Meson Test, Meson Center→ Mention of F2 compressor trip and MSEPTA FE reboots. Question about beam delay after shutdown. Rob A. "Low intensity beam to SY should not have hi intesity scrubbing issues."
SY120 Experiments→ Running fine. New ORC this week.
FAST/IOTA→ The IOTA LCW manifold installation continues. All vacuum cables have been pulled and will be terminated next week.Cable pulls for the water system RTDs are nearly complete. Sync-Light cable pulls should begin next week.4 skew quads were powered and field tested. The remainder of the skews will be tested next week.Field testing of the RadiaBeam quads should begin next week and testing of the Dubna quads will begin in 2 weeks.
PIP-II Injector Test→ 1) we established beam to the dump and we are working towards high duty cycle operation. To that end we have been testing operation of the MPS with an emphasis on the Ring Pickups (which monitor beam currents in parts of the MEBT and do a comparison to look for any beam loss) and on losses at the special aperture restrictions we have such as the kicker masks and differential pumping section. So far our tests have been positive and we will start operating the RFQ in CW mode starting this Friday and begin increasing the pulse length as we gain confidence in the MPS and in our lattice. 2) At Meson we have installed Spoke cavity 112 and hope to have it cold sometime on Friday at which time we will begin processing.
Alignment→ Currently performing settlement measurements for the Mu2e building Referenced several MW and LCLS II quads Started on the Texas MW referencing Worked on the design of a linac target for the drift tubes to be used with our laser trackers in anticipation of upcoming work during the long shutdown Performing control network measurements at ICB and MP9 for LCLS II
Controls→ Aware of reboot issues with MSEPTA FE. Some issues @ MI-60.
Cryo→ No report.
ESH&Q→ ESH&Q access in Linac & Transport for chipmunk swaps - already in worklistAccesses into MI & Booster for FSO and Division Head tours - already in worklist ESH&Q may try and put more monitors in NuMI RAW room - Nino & Tony will talk to NuMI coordinator & Ops Received MI-8 GeV ALARA plan - reviewing today Still waiting for ALARA plan for any MI-40 work (or other ALARA jobs)
EE Support→ Opsco missed report.
Instrumentation→ Nothing to add.
Mechanical & Fluids→ Mentioned F2 air compressor trip. Added water to LRF. Ready for ion pump install in MI. RGA baking. MI20 LCW temp control issue.
RF→ Currently running well.
FESS→ EF4 exhust fan motor replaced. Andy's pond back in service.(pump #2 & 3 seal replacement. ) Swan pond pump #1 replaced.
Summer Shutdown 2018→ Mention of T&M contracts. BNB berm work weather dependent. (Wednsday contractor starting work on the berm.) Work on Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday during the day.
