DUNE Database Group Meeting - held Apr. 9th 2018

Present: Norm, Steve, Igor, Chuck, Justin, Vladimir, others I may have missed.

Status reports:

* Beam analysis module - no report, will contact Jon about the status

* IFBeam stream to FNAL. Igor enabled it Friday and it is working now - Vladimir verified during the meeting.

* Post DC2 we need to have plans in place to pull from the Timber system to fill gaps in real time data coming from DIP system. Igor has a simple python API that can read from the Timber system but needs to have a list of devices and an understanding of how to map this back to DIP data. There is ampparently a web page somewhere with the Timber device dictionary but we don't know where it is. Norm will follow up on this.

* Post DC2 throughput test of DIP -> FNAL IFBeam transfers. This should be a high priority test. Steve and Igor have this on thier list of things needing attention. Current estimate of expected rate is 48 kb/s but this will likely go up - not down. A factor of 2 cannot be ruled out but the CERN DB/IT people have saidd that it is not recommended to pull from DIP at a rate higher than 64 kb/s. We need to plan accordingly.

* Justin has everything ready to parse the fhicl files from cold-test (or other) data directories on NP04. We are waiting to hear back from Geoff regarding possible use of a proxy, or other solutions - VM? Norm will bring this up at the DC2 meeting tomorrow morning.

* Chuck met with David Christian and Marco Verzocchi (independently) about the CE hardware DB. They are quite busy with things and have thought a bit about this. The primary concern is that they have is that entry of so much information is an arduous task given the number of components, tests, etcetera. Chuck will touch base with them again to let them know we can assist with a client-side API to help them with this.

Next meeting will be in 2 weeks.
