Description
I will discuss some motivations for
studying gauge theories on a quantum computer, and basic features of
gauge theories in a Hamiltonian formulation. In particular, I will
discuss issues regarding Gauss's law and cutoffs on the Hilbert space,
both of which have to be confronted for simulations on a quantum
computer.
