      Dune/gridpp meeting 17 Sep 2018

      Compute authentication

      No changes

      Robert—

      Storage

Have added Prague as a Rucio storage element

They are part of rucio testing infrastructure.

Have attempted 3rd party Prague to RAL failed due to auth.. have to check

      Robert shares a picture:

      Rucio graph, what is. interconnected

CERN—Robert is trying to add CERN in a different way

      As a volatile storage element

Replica management completely outside Rucio’s control

But advertised volatile attribute doesn’t work yet, Robert has submitted a patch

Steve, Heidi—can we make a database of which technologies talk to which?

Margaret can we make the diagram a feature request for Rucio

      Robert—think ATLAS does it automatically

Steve—can UK sites talk to CERN—Robert we think so.

Fermilab-ral 3rd party works with personal certs

      Rucio scopes—

Heidi—run type is a good scope

Could be higher level even than a file family.

Robert—similar granularity to a file family.

      Production

Ken—have made first pass of all noise run from 4000 and greater

Most of it worked.  There is a failure sometimes trying to sort that out today.

      —————————————

Meeting agenda—Andrew Washbrook sent out agenda earlier today with questions,

      People should read and comment

Should we add Imperial as a site for Rucio?  Yes
