Diagnostic instrumentation is a crucial aspect in understanding beam dynamics. Beam position monitors (BPM) in the Integrable Optics Test Accelerator (IOTA) will be used to study nonlinear beam behavior by reconstructing Poincare surface of section based on various kicks. Single electron particle dynamic simulations using MAD-X have been performed. Additionally, I will present a summary of a gas sheet profile monitor that is under development to be used for protons in IOTA
