Minutes for LArSoft coordination meeting on September 25, 2018

Project status report - no issues

Lauren will send a feature branch to larsoft-team for the bug fix she reported on. 
This might have some effect on the unit test. Should let larsoft-coordination email list 
know so the experiments know.

Angelos Stylianidis - gave the first report from work on an effort to introduce vector acceleration in production workflows executing on x86 platforms by the end of CY2018.
Angelos should contact Tom Junk for help in running tests. 
Also LArSoft will send info about Jenkins to Angelos and Nektarios.

Goal:  to improve single thread performance
Techniques: SSE, FMA (fused multiply), AVX (advanced vector extensions)
Will focus on the last one.
Also discussed method, optimizations, guidelines and issues.
