      DUNE computing sites meeting  3/25/2019

Present S. Timm, Heidi Schellman, James Perry, Ken Herner, Xavier Espinal, Robert Illingworth

Daniela Bauer, Tanya Levshina, Raja Nandakumar, Chris Brew, Andrew McNab., Stu Fuess

      RAL SE is running now.

      Xrootd and gridftp access working.

Xrootd ls directory doesn’t work , otherwise fine

      James Perry—Rucio development

Implement URL saving support in the Rucio core

Allows client to upload and download files without having to have the credentials stored locally.

That code now merged into next Rucio—google support was already there.

Swift support is new, S3 support using this method also new.

Next step on original plan was to make changes to handle 3rd party copies but now

Quite a few ideas out there, should meet with developers.

Going to have a meeting in a couple days to discuss what should be added.

      Metadata issue is helpful.

      Xavi-

There are plans to implement JWT tokens in EOS

CE’s. IN2P3, have to test the storage

Raja—do we still need SL6, many sites are transitioning to SL7 only.

      Ken—most s

      Daniela—all Imperial nodes are SL7

If someone requests sl6 we drop them into a container.

IF you are trying to do singularity on your own, need to go to the SL7 CE otherwise you will

Be running singularity inside of singularity, not good.

Ken—will make action items to convert to SL7 ce’ at least at Imperial, elsewhere

Raja—would like to decommission their sl6 worker nodes as well

      Heidi—

Daniela—can DUNE please use the Imperial storage

Ken H. --please add dune SE’s to the wiki

Changed entry at BNL to 3GB

Should have got more cycles at BNL than we did.
