Enabled by the novel technique of data scouting, CMS reach for low mass resonances has improved significantly. In this poster, we present the first search for a light scalar arising from the decay of a B hadron at CMS along with the search for low mass long lived dark photons that decay to muon pairs. We also provide supplementary material to recast our analysis results to any other model. Using our analysis results, we also show that CMS is competitive with LHCb in the B-regime.
