Eric Torrance - Univ Oregon - via BLUE JEANS - Status of the FASER Experiment

FASER is a small experiment designed to search for long-lived, weakly interacting, light particles such as dark photons. The FASER detector is currently under construction at CERN and plans to record data from proton-proton collisions at Point 1 during Run 3. In this talk, the motivation for the FASER experiment will be outlined, and the current status of preparations for Run3 will be described.
