Are We Ready to Start Coupler Conditioning on CM-1 Next Week? If not, what are the critical path items?
- Status updates
- High Voltage/RF (Howie & John)
- Cable connected up. Interlock cables getting connected.
- Vacuum – pump status and pressure needed.
- PLC loose ends getting cleared up, esp. differential water interlock
- It should be possible to start low level pulsing and perform spark gap test @ 40 kV
- Major work to do is check all interlocks and set limits. Should be complete by the end of next week.
- John plans to turn on filaments tomorrow to black heat.
- Interlocks (Peter)
- The whole system has now been tested except modulator ready/inhibit
- Waiting for cavity vacuum signals and finish IR sensor hook-up.
- Marv is the contact person for the next 2 weeks while Peter is in Japan.
- Personnel safety (Worel)
- Signed test form is received, ready to test the NML Logic Module when John Reid is ready.
- Have verification from Peter P. that he did receive the safety signal.
- Cable pulled & terminated at the high voltage supply but not connected to it.
- Obtained a key & four cores for the system. The cores have been installed in the Wave Guide Switch module. The gate cores will be installed when ready for them.
- John Reid did mention today that it would be good to visually verify the wave guide switch position before we test. John said he would give us a call when he would be ready for this verification.
- Cables pulls and termination
- Virtually all cables pulled, terminations in progress
- Cryo cables next week – not here yet
- Bureaucracy (M. Andrews, Elvin)
- Overview document ready to be submitted
- Commissioning plan written
- Elvin will submit all necessary documentation as one packet – need to get LOTO and Configuration Control
- Tentatively schedule walkthrough for Thursday/Friday next week
- Cryo (Martinez, Klebaner)
- Dual plant commissioning progress – some blackflow noted
- Welding to start next week? Procedure reviewed, waiting on approval to begin
- Schedule/Plans
- Short term
- CC2 running today & tomorrow, overnight (Ted off Friday)
- CC2 running at 10Mv/m 5 Hz over weekend
- CC2 plans for the next week
- Monday open
- Tuesday open
- Weds open, prepare for cw operation, adjust Q
- Thursday – cw operation
- Friday – cw operation
