TLPipe updates from Tim!

able to run pscal, pssubtract

psfit?  similar to pscal.  can't get it to run yet- needs missing attribute

mapmaking now working in python 3!

build tlpipe3 on tianlai01

tianlai01 was rebooted on Monday - remote key has changed, but disks not mounted!

Dish paper discussion

- what to do with section 8.9?  Could move to a new paper, or, if we keep it in this paper, raise its visibility by moving to its own section and referring to it in the abstract and conclusion.  perhaps outside readers will comment.

The mysterious 'fast fringes' during daytime

- Albert has made phase maps of daytime data for several visibilities.   These are 'dephased', removing the phase expected from the sun.   'fast fringes' are seen in some cases.  has not yet made quantitative comparison to expected fringe rate from astronomical sources for different e-w baselines.

Future papers

- Sun removal - this paper is pretty far along

- Legendre analysis - a short paper focusing on the technique rather than Tianlai data

- NCP analysis with more data, more baselines.  Verify that baselines are correct using bright sources.   Cas-A. HV/crosspole too high - correlated noise?  Mirrors co-pol, 5X lower, includes sky signal - not just correlated noise.  Feed alignment?  We should focus on this paper next - this will lead us most directly toward science results.

- Correlated noise- e&m sims of crosstalk, ground spill/reflection?  topographic maps of the site for modeling - site survey may exist?  NAOC summer student looking at delay transform of CNS signals...

- mapmaking - both dish and cylinder cases.  around bright sources as well as at NCP.

- create/publish calibrated source catalog in our band?  LOFAR has done this at lower frequencies.

- Beam patterns using e&m sims/ drone.  There's lots we can do.  we could compare sims with other frequency channels measured by the UAV  (it broadcast over the whole band but the IEEE paper focuses on 730 MHz).   We could try to  include other dishes and effects from the ground.  Xuelei will ask Juyong whether he has plans for more measurements at the site.

Other business

- effective area of dishes - Reza may report on this soon

-student working on beamformer is making baseline model using Cas A, Cyg A

Idrogen board - didn't have time to look at attached photos - save for next week
