Neutrino Frontier Topical Group Convener meeting

US/Central
Description
See email for Zoom
NF meeting Oct 13, 2020 minutes, Kate is running the meeting, minutes by Peter Denton

1. Vishvas from the SEC liasons
1.a. SEC-NF meeting is Oct 21, 12 central, whitepaper planning, discuss LOIs
1.b. Still haven open slots for topical liasons
1.c. Many SEC people were involved in CPM

2. No follow ups to CPM were mentioned

3. LOI spreadsheet: need to remove yellows and then make it public

4. Whitepaper kickoff meetings
4.a. One meeting over several days?
4.b. Weekly short talks about whitepapers in progress?
4.c. Patrick: Whitepapers exist to serve the Snowmass report
4.d. First step: share LOI spreadsheet with community. Then start to form an initial list of whitepapers. Then maybe start workshops mid November.

5. Timeline

6. Writeup (according to the Snowmass committee)
6.a. Executive summary will be 50 pages total: few pages per frontier.
6.b. Each frontier will provide a frontier summary 20-50 pages.
6.c. Each topical group will have a 20-50 page reports.
6.d. Whitepapers included as references.
6.e. NF suggests fewer pages per topical group.
6.f. Summaries and reports are more important than white papers
6.g. Maybe start with a list of topics in the NF report and then figure out the whitepapers from that

Homework: finish sorting out the LOI matrix by removing yellow
Homework: An overleaf of the report will be sent out and topical conveners can iterate

Next meeting is two weeks on Wednesday
