Description

The sixth session of the Programming Video Journal Club will be Wednesday, November 4 2020, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.

In this session, our talk is from Jody Hagins. Presented at CppCon 2020, the title is "Template Metaprogramming: Type Traits (part 1 of 2)".
This is an introductory talk on metaprogramming, which our speaker introduces as programming in which your data is types.
C (and so C++) can support some fairly primitive metaprogramming using the preprocessor; C++ can go far beyond that,
as Jody shows.

Thanks go to Brandon White for suggesting the video for this session.

Please try to watch the talk before the session.
We'll start the session with a 15-20 minute summary of the talk. We'll then follow with 40-45 minutes of free-ranging discussion on the topic.
Please come prepared with your comments or your questions! The real value of the session come more from animated discussion than from my re-cap.

The link to the talk is: https://youtu.be/tiAVWcjIF6o.

Please refer to the email announcing the session for the Zoom meeting information.
Feel free to be eating lunch while we meet!

If you are not on the SCD general mailing list, please contact me (Marc, [email protected]) directly for the Zoom connection information.
