Thanks to everyone who has taken part in “CF1 Dark matter: Particle-Like” topical group activities so far. We received over 150 LOIs, and had excellent participation at the CPM a few weeks ago!
This meeting will be a town hall style meeting to describe the next stage of the process, which is an effort to corral the science described in the many LOIs into a more manageable set of about ~10 “Big Question” White Papers that would then lead into a high level CF1 Summary Report. We will lay out our view of these Big Question topics, based on input received at the CPM, and ask for feedback and volunteers to contribute to them.
Although we are planning to coordinate this special set of white papers, we don’t want to discourage anyone from expanding their LOI into a white paper on their own, to be included in the Snowmass archive. In this case, we encourage you to (1) work together as much as possible, (2) keep us informed of what you’re doing, and (3) ensure your science is discussed in the Big Question white papers, even if you feel additional white papers are needed to capture all the details. We can discuss this framework at the meeting next week.
