Description

The eighth session of the Programming Video Journal Club will be Wednesday,
February 10, 2020, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.

In this session, we discuss Klaus Iglberger's CppCon 2020 talk: "Calling
Functions: A Tutorial", which covers issues such as name lookup, function
overload resolution, access labels, and other aspects used in forming a set of
deterministic rules to select which function is called. This talk may include a
few surprises for you--it addressed an aspect of overload resolution that has
bothered the host (Kyle Knoepfel) for a while.

Please try to watch the talk before the session. We'll start the session with a
summary of the talk. We'll then follow with free-ranging discussion on the
topic. Please come prepared with your comments or your questions!

Please refer to the email announcing the session for the Zoom meeting
information. Feel free to be eating lunch while we meet!

If you are not on the SCD general mailing list, please contact Marc Paterno
([email protected]) directly for the Zoom connection information.
