Bishai statement

Dear DUNE,

It is my pleasure to seek this opportunity to continue to represent the DUNE community on the Spokesperson Advisory Committee. LBNF-DUNE is entering a critical phase both on the project end with the advancing of the technical design towards CD2 and the challenge of bringing on the vertical drift far detector. On the scientific end, the Snowmass process is ramping up again and it is essential that the US and international community re-affirm the criticality of the scientific program of DUNE and its centrality to both the US and international HEP program. On both these issues, I believe my expertise with both the project and technical design of DUNE and my long involvement in leading roles with developing and expanding the physics program will prove beneficial to the Spokespersons at this critical time. As a member of the SAC it is also my goal to continue to bring the voices and concerns of a diverse collaboration to the attention of the Spokespersons. Many of you who know me, know that I am not afraid to speak out and to challenge leadership, speak uncomfortable truths if necessary, and advocate for others. I thank you once more for considering me for this important role and I hope to continue to serve DUNE and DUNEsters in any capacity.
