Welcome to the "Big Question in Particle Physics" colloquium series, organized by the SEC Inreach initiative. This series aims to explore the underlying questions that motivate the research programs under study at Snowmass, and give an idea of how an early-career scientist might hope to address them over the course of a career in research.
In this colloquium we explore the big questions around the recent Muon g-2 result. What could give rise to one of the most important discrepancies from Standard Model predictions? What experimental searches might shed more light over the next years?
