• NP04 coldbox preparations
• NP04 server upgrades and issues
  DNS problems
  RAID issues (004 reinstall)

NP04:

* hardware was moved

* preparing Monday DAQ meeting, will have a short discussion

* moved 10G and 1G sw, finer is pulled. 026 might not be able to hook up to IPMI

* don't plan to change firmware too much

* moved TLU

* can't PXE boot through fiber connection

* will temporarily hook up PXE interfaces

* RAID issues:

** discovered that on reboot, not assembling RAID by UUID.

* Alec will fix to use UUID on 001-003

* Computer assignments: Move 026 to Vertical Drift

* nscd has been installed and active all along

* wincc project polls hardware nonstop

* Real DUNE: how do we want to do name resolution

* how could we deal with FELIX driver/mainline kernel packaging?

* Pocket/podman (Ron and Pengfei)

* podman-docker rpm (replaces docker with podman, but all the docker commands go through podman)

* some success, some problems using podman

* NFS home areas for container storage

* "should" be able to do containers without root priveleges

** need an admin to setup a namespace (PID/GID namespace)

* scaling down vs. scaling up: need to be able to test/validate without an elaborate setup, this is where podman comes in

* docker-ce also provides rootless docker

• for our use, there are 2 cases:
• Network/Asset DB (not needed at CERN)
• keep track of assets
• DCIM (Oak Ridge)
• ocsinventory (look at schema)
