Abstract:
WWW production was recently observed by the ATLAS collaboration using the full Run 2 data set with an integrated luminosity of 139 fb-1 at √s = 13 TeV. In this seminar, I will present the first observation and cross-section measurements. These measurements are performed in two final states. Machine learning techniques are used to improve signal sensitivity by training different kinematic variables separately for each channel. The LHC is now getting ready for Run 3, followed by the Phase-II upgrade to transition into the High Luminosity LHC era. During this phase-II upgrade, ATLAS is replacing its inner tracker detector. Existing pixel detectors will be replaced with improved and high radiation tolerant pixel detectors. The assembly and testing procedures for these pixel detectors are now being reviewed and will soon be finalized. I will also present assembly and testing results of these pixel detectors.
