The Electronics and ASICs group within the Instrumentation Frontier is interested in developing a white paper that identifies key areas important to the Innovation, Design and Development of the next generation of HEP detector readout electronics. These areas include: Training for Students, Professional Staff and Physicists in analog and digital electronics design as well as system design. Access to technologies for sensors and readout electronics crucial to the improvement of existing detector systems as well as a well maintained knowledge base specific to our field that will capture and make accessible design concepts and detailed examples to take advantage present and past experience to more efficiently carry out designs integrating old and new ideas.
We will be on the look out for ideas to bring to the white papers as well as community leadership to help compose, edit and create a whitepaper that will enable us to bring a coherent, prioritized, statement of foreseeable needs for the next generation of HEP Research Detectors.
