Welcome to the "Big Question in Particle Physics" colloquium series, organized by the Snowmass Early Career Core Initiatives. This series aims to explore the underlying questions which motivate the research programs within Snowmass, and give examples and ideas of how early-career scientists might hope to address future research problems over the course of their careers in physics.
In this colloquium, we explore the big questions around the neutrino low energy excess. How was it first found and corroborated? What do the latest experiments say about its existence? What implications do these new measurements have for current and future theoretical work?
