Chair's report

• Washington visits: Very productive 2 weeks of meetings. Details from Nadja/Adam later.
   
• New Director, Lia Merminga: I sent a congratulatory message, a request for a meeting and extended an invitation for joining us at a future monthly meeting. Secured an appointment for a meeting on April 29th - she wanted a one-on-one meeting first. I intend to visit in person.
   
• Harriet Kung visit: We have a confirmation of a high-profile visit for the Users meeting in June. This should be very nice. There will be other officers from DOE Office of Science I suspect. I am waiting for confirmation from NSF. More on talk confirmations ... in Sophie/Biswaranjan later.
   
• URA Funds: Our application for support of students to facilitate their visit to the Users Meeting was approved by the URA. This is very good news!
   
• QoL Feedback Message: We sent a message to the Users and Affiliates regarding the feedback form, etc, welcoming them back to the In Person lab experience.
   
• In person meetings: We should be able to meet in person from the next visit. I am yet to renew my lab ID, so could not make it in person for this meeting.
