Here are the items I want to make sure we talk about:
- Remote/hybrid: Can we assign a point person in charge of making the hybrid aspect of the meeting work really well? I posted on Slack about some of the actions that could contribute to this.
- ASL interpreters: I'm working with Dmitri at the UW DSO, and he's been super-helpful in organizing the ASL interpreters. We don't have that all nailed down yet, but we've found a couple of people with the skill set and are working out their availability and rates. Cost estimate is still $16k + travel and hotel for the interpreters.
- Captioners: I need to contact White Coat to ask if they can make a couple of small schedule shifts. Are the following finalized?
- Start and end times of sessions
- Which sessions are/aren't parallel
- Two attendees have indicated they'll be using disabled parking.
- One needs a temporary disabled parking pass. Did someone (Shih-Chieh?) already ask about this or shall I go ahead and do it?
- Once the rooms are finalized, I'll do a walkthrough to make sure there is adequate parking at the rooms they'll be using.
- Do we have a talk/poster guidelines webpage in the works, or a facilitator guidelines webpage? I will contribute accessibility-related material to those (e.g. links to colorblind-friends color schemes). This info should also be emailed out to presenters.
