Brief updates: some progress has been made on the matter of improving the workflow retrieving author lists (taking the XML file with some additional information as a basis) and of soliciting ARC volunteers (40 persons have now filled out the google form).

We briefly touched on the three current/imminent requests for limited authorship (Technical Paper / phenomenology paper) classification; with an eye to find APB volunteers to make a recommendation on the two upcoming requests. Orlando volunteered for the paper on BSM at a target-less DUNE; Viktor volunteered for either this paper or the paper on the PD-SP Xe doping campaign.

We spent most of the meeting time discussing an implementation of the charge by the IB for the APB to implement an "Institute reading", to improve the scrutiny of our draft publications during collaboration review. More in particular, we discussed how institutes' size should affect their participation in this task; touching on:

  • keeping the selection of institutes entirely probabilistic versus retaining a memory of past participation;
  • considering this task as a service activity versus a volunteer activity;
  • the administrative effort needed on the APB side.

After some fair amount of discussion, we converged on the following proposal:

  • a largely probabilistic selection, with an institute's chance to be selected being proportional to its number of authors (or members?)
  • if an institute is unable to participate, request that it indicate when it will be able to participate
