Eno, bureaucracy
- Tully can do Thursday 1:30 pm. Still need to hear from Bob and Junjie, though.
Ledosky
- Should we buy separate crystals for the test beam? Tully: yes
- Are they too small to aim the beam at?
- Should different crystals have different pulse shape: Tully: less important due to lower noise in sipms than for cms ecal. Good to have high bandwidth to do timing. Sasha: I agree. 500 Mhz bandwidth.
- Readout, can we synchronize with idea? Need to talk to them. Haven’t done that yet.
- Chris: like DRS, but is the swing enough? Sasha: can adjust the offset. Tully: needed attenuators. Swing is too large? Not cheap to get attenuators.
- Sarah: what is the tracking resolution of the idea system?
- Sasha: how to make a good system to rotate the angle?
- Sasha contact Roberto Ferrari, Gabriella Gaudio (Pavia)
- Tully: Which amplifier is simulated in slide 6? Phase 2 electronics frontend. Apt+Kapton+phase
- Ours will look better as sipmm has more gain, and will look more like the current pulse on the previous slide.
- Tiesheng: in simulation, can you separate the two kinds of light? yes
Eno, simulations
- Please show where to find constants in code
Chekanov
- Sarah: pion resolution too good. Need to understand. Tully: I think this is okay because most of the energy is in the ECAL. Between 1 and 5 GeV. Expect range out of pions in crystal there. Response is 60%.
- Sergei: I’m more concerned with electron part. Tully: I think that is what we have in cms?
WonYong
- Really they are moving from ddsim to k4SimGeant4? Yep. It is hard to follow the constant changes
- Sarah: we need somebody to attend the key4hep meetings to keep track
- Dddigi doesn’t work. Need to translate to lcio?
