The cavity was installed Wednesday. Special thanks to Mechanical and Alignment for all their help getting it done. When we attempted to turn the station on, the modulator began blocking repeatedly. Rick, Yuriy, Salah and Kent accessed the tunnel to listen for sparking, and reported that they could hear sparking coming from below the PA. It is likely a problem with the white high voltage cable. The next step would be to hipot the modulator, the cable and the cavity to confirm that. Presuming it is the HV cable, the cable can be repaired or replaced in place. Currently, Booster RF still has one spare station ready and one good spare PA (currently installed in station 15). If needed, we could wait until after the holiday break for any access required to address this. One other notable event- MI North Anode Power Supply tripped on "Ground Hook Not Stored" at about 5am this morning, and was recovered locally once Techs got in this morning. Other than that, the usual small "annoyance" trips in Booster and Main Injector RF.
