1.) WIYN/Hydra survey update - John. See attached report. Provides a recommendation for which tiles to revisit during our next observing run in May.
2.) Redshift verification. Reza and Olivier have looked at the catalog shared by John. In particular, Olivier has cross-checked John's redshift determinations with other catalogs (e.g. Gaia): See his presentation from our meeting on Dec 22, 2021: https://indico.fnal.gov/event/52445/
3.) ROACH2/GPU Correlator for Tianlai cylinder - Jixia. See attached slides. The primary cylinder correlator from Institute of Automation (based on DSP ) has been offline for a while. A second correlator was built in 2015 using ROACH2 and GPUs. Jixia demonstrated that this system still works. Some GPUs are missing. If these were replaced this correlator would be fully functional.
4.) Other topics. Olivier noticed a recent paper on the arXiv https://arxiv.org/pdf/2301.02540.pdf "Cross-Correlation Forecast of CSST Spectroscopic Galaxy and MeerKAT Neutral Hydrogen
intensity Mapping Surveys" describes cross correlation analysis similar to our recent cross-correlation paper, but does not cite our paper or mention Tianlai or CHIME. Xuelei points out that the paper has already been published, so it's too late to contact the authors to suggest a reference to our paper.
5.) Next call is Jan 17. We'll skip Jan 24 because of Chinese New Year on Jan 21.
