Abstract: In this seminar I will give a general overview of the procedure employed to extract unpolarised transverse-momentum-dependent (TMD) distributions from fits to experimental data. I will discuss the theoretical frameworks and the typical datasets used in such fits. I will then present the main results of the latest determinations of unpolarised quark TMD distributions, focusing on the description of the most recent and precise datasets. Finally, I will give concluding remarks concerning possible implications of precise determinations of TMD distributions for the present LHC and the future EIC physics.
