In this talk, I'll review the field of high-energy neutrino astronomy, including the telescopes involved, the prospective sources of high-energy neutrinos, and the connection between high-energy astrophysical neutrinos, gamma rays, and cosmic rays. I'll also talk about some of the ways that we can use neutrino telescopes to test physics beyond the Standard Model.
