Workshop on time synchronization
• 30 min: Intro - Orolia/Safran introduction, Fermilab introduction, and general overview on product lines (timing, simulation, clocks, HEP).
• 1 hour: White Rabbit technology and hardware - Technical introduction to White Rabbit protocol and the different techniques that allow to achieve sub-nanosecond synchronization in local areas. Introduction to the different WR hardware.
• Fermilab's use cases.
• 1 hour: HEP LLRF, Time Sensitive Networking and low jitter distribution - To be defined.
• 1 hour: WR over long distance links and use cases - Extension of White Rabbit time synchronization to long distance links. Calibration methods and deployments. Introduction to different use cases.
