Scientific seminar and discussion on new CMD-3 result

Description

This scientific seminar is organized by the Muon g-2 Theory Initiative to facilitate the needed discussions to scrutinize the new experimental measurement of the $e^+e^- \to \pi^+\pi^-$ cross section by the CMD-3 collaboration: https://arxiv.org/pdf/2302.08834.pdf

This measurement is in significant tension with previous determinations. These differences must be understood or resolved before the impact of this result on the Standard Model theory result for the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon will become clear.

For this purpose, the CMD-3 seminar, which will take place in the first hour, will be followed by a discussion session with a panel of experts, chaired by Michel Davier.
