MSD Machine Operations Report Summary Monday, April 24, 2023 Proton Source 1. Mechanical/Vacuum a. Booster ion pump IPRF21 (7.7E-09) trip Monday morning came back on with no issue i. This looks to be caused by the higher than normal pressure that IPRF22 (4.1E-7) is running at ii. Waiting for down time (4-6 HR) to leak check this area b. Booster Ion pump IP802 tripped over the weekend due to the know leaks that are at the period 2 kickers 2. Fluids a. Nothing to report Main Injector/Recycler 1. Mechanical/Vacuum a. Sunday At 13:48, the following ion pumps tripped I:IP7071, I:IP7072, I:IP7080, I:IP7062, & I:IP7081 and caused a vacuum cascade in the P1 line and I:BV701 to close i. Ops were able to reset, and vacuum recovered b. Sat morning I:IP401A and IP401B tripped, at the same time MI and RR permits tripped. Vacuum reset ok 2. Fluids a.
