Sergei K. wrote a draft of the cyclotron emission monitor report. He also completed rough calculations suggesting that the cyclotron emission couples at 5% to the waveguide mode using the IOTA parameters. Nilanjan will check his calculations.
MaryKate attended the beam-based diagnostics course in USPAS. She has been doing a literature review of electron gun design and will incorporate this into her gun design report. For now, she has been working on the NIOLD run report.
Nilanjan is working on simulations of proton injection into IOTA and working the electron cooling report. What are realistic ranges for beam emittance and momentum spread in IOTA? Dave Frank has assembled a vacuum chamber for attaching three MCPs. We will check for leaks this Friday or early next week and attach the MCPs very soon.
