New 3-flavor neutrino oscillation results from NOvA

NOvA, celebrating its 10th anniversary of data collection in 2024, is one of only two long-baseline accelerator neutrino experiments currently operating worldwide. Using Fermilab's powerful NuMI beam and two functionally identical tracking calorimeter detectors, NOvA can observe muon neutrino (and antineutrino) disappearance and electron neutrino (and antineutrino) appearance. By comparing the near detector's measurements of the unoscillated beam with the far detector's data, NOvA precisely measures the larger neutrino mass splitting and sets constraints on parameters of the PMNS mixing matrix. In this seminar, we will present the results of the latest oscillation analysis, featuring a new low-energy electron neutrino sample and doubled neutrino-mode beam exposure.
