The DUNE Collaboration invites the broader particle physics community to participate in a 2nd OPEN WORKSHOP (DUNE collaboration membership not required) on APEX technology for the DUNE Phase-II Far Detector (FD) modules. The workshop will be held at Stony Brook University during March 12-14, 2025.

The primary goals of the workshop are discussing:

  1. the latest large-area photodetectors and digital readout solutions for APEX
  2. APEX scaling-up challenges and industrial solutions for mass production
  3. APEX light simulation and reconstruction, light-assisted event reconstruction, and light-enabled physics studies in an APEX LArTPC
  4. CERN 2-ton prototype results and plans, define NP02-scale APEX prototype plans

As before, this workshop is open to all DUNE and non-DUNE groups. It is an excellent venue for new groups interested in developing APEX for DUNE Phase II FD.

We will have both invited and contributed talks.
Please consider submitting an abstract if your talk aligns with any one of the goals of the workshop. You are welcome to contact us if you have specific expertise or resources to develop the above items.

In-person attendance is strongly encouraged, but remote connections will be provided.
